Department says signs and barriers are being regularly ignored
Motorists are being reminded that parking on Harris Promenade in Douglas is not allowed except for during specific events.
The Department of Infrastructure says signs and additional barriers are in place near the War Memorial to stop this, but the signage is regularly being ignored.
As a result, the department is likely to take further parking enforcement procedures.
The DoI also warns that those who choose to ignore the restrictions and park on the walkway are unlikely to be covered by insurance if they have an accident or sustain damage while parked there.
Vehicles associated with authorised works are able to park in the area.
