Further update when more info available
The Department of Infrastructure says it's working to secure a new operator for the key routes lost following Citywing's announcement it is to go into liquidation.
Citywing operated five routes - Belfast, Blackpool, Glasgow, Gloucester and Newcastle.
Its ones to Glasgow and Belfast are the only ones from the Isle of Man to Scotland and Northern Ireland, respectively.
It's understood hundreds of people who have Citywing flights booked have been left in the lurch, as the company has ceased operations with immediate effect.
The DoI says an update will be issued about what it's managed to do when further information is available.
It adds it is very sad to lose a company that has contributed so much to the Isle of Man's air services to the UK.
