Wright's Pit North site in Bride to stay open
It's the Department of Infrastructure's 'public duty' to ensure there's an appropriate facility on the Island to dispose of construction waste.
That's from Garff MHK Daphne Caine after the Wright's Pit North site in Bride had its operation extended.
The landfill had been due to close at the end of this month, but is carrying on as there are no other options on the Island.
Mrs Caine says despite the welcome news, the DoI has had plenty of time to arrange an alternative:
