The clerk of Laxey commissioners is appealing for people to help him catch the thieves who made off with his trousers, iPhone, wallet and car keys at the weekend.
Peter Burgess was enjoying a day on the beach with his family when he went for a swim between 2.30pm and 3pm on Saturday.
He left his clothes and a towel on Laxey promenade’s sea wall – only to find his valuables gone when he returned.
Peter says he hopes the incident won’t dissuade people from visiting the village.
And if you have any information about the theft you can contact Ramsey police on 812234.
