"No one should fear coming to hospital"
The health minister is urging anyone who's ill or in need of treatment to seek medical attention as normal during the pandemic.
His comments came as yesterday (27 May) the Island recorded a seventh consecutive day without any new confirmed cases of coronavirus.
David Ashford says no one should fear coming to hospital, with a number of core health services such as general surgery and urology in the process of reopening.
He's echoed a plea made by consultant geriatrician Dr Duncan Gerry:
As of the latest update, there are still 336 confirmed cases, six of which are active.
