Travel agent says euro demand at record levels
An Island travel agent says he was overwhelmed by the demand for foreign currency following yesterday’s Brexit result.
A huge surge in demand on Friday led to the Post Office running out and Isle of Man Bank stopped taking new orders for holiday money.
Jan Wozniak of Freedom Travel says his business ran out, too – although euros are back in stock today.
He says it’s a salutary lesson not to leave exchanging money until the last minute:
