Visiting Conister Rock not classed as essential journey or exercise
Manx residents are being urged not to walk out to the Tower of Refuge at low tide during the ongoing coronavirus lockdown.
The Department of Infrastructure says such a trip is not classed as exercise or an essential journey, and therefore isn't permitted.
In an appeal on social media, the department warns it would take up valuable resources at a critical time if someone needed rescuing because they had a fall or became trapped due to the tide coming in.
Those walking in the area are asked to stay on the beach.
