Watson believes more homes will be created in the capital

Chair of the Housing Committee Devon Watson claims up to 50 new homes could be created if the block is redeveloped and additional social housing created elsewhere using money from the sale.

The 56 flats, across four blocks, were built in the 1930s but the last tenants were moved out in 2022 when the new Peel Road development was completed.
Councillor Watson says there's been 'constant work' behind the scenes on the project.
