Local rider takes top podium spot for Junior MGP
Manx man Jamie Williams has got double gold at the 2025 Manx Grand Prix.
After winning the Supersport race earlier this week, he's now added another top podium spot to his repertoire, winning the Junior Manx Grand Prix.
It wasn't an easy task, Williams was battling with Supertwin winner Lewis Arrowsmith from the off until he had to retire due to technical difficulties.
Then Toby Shann upped the anti, breathing down Williams' neck, eventually taking the lead momentarily mid-race. It was short-lived as Williams soon snatched it back.
Jamie Williams managed to hold his nerve and the win. He was crowned champion of the Junior MGP with a fastest lap time of 115.519mph.
Williams also bagged himself third in the Supertwin MGP earlier this week.
Toby Shann claimed an admirable second place with a fastest lap time of 115.258mph. He has a knack for getting into cat and mouse games at the front:
Meanwhile Michael Gahan was in his own battle with Liam Chawke for third.
Gahan manged to hold out, clinching the podium spot with a fastest lap time of 114.977mph, making up for disappoint earlier in the week when he ran out of fuel in the final lap of the Supertwin MGP, in which he had looked like he was in the running for the top spot.
Thankfully, the fuel tank made it all the way round the Mountain Course today:
