Local authority looking for ways to save money
Douglas residents may only have their bins emptied once every two weeks in a bid to save money.
That's from the newly-elected leader of Douglas Council as the local authority looks towards next year's budget.
Claire Wells says a move to fortnightly collections has been considered in recent years.
But, she expects it will now be a priority for some Councillors:
Lifeboat cover to return to Douglas next year
New coastal class vessel will then enter service in 2028
Port St Mary RNLI station 'saddened' by end of all-weather lifeboat operations
Lifeboat charity confirmed it won't be replacing the all-weather vessel at Port St Mary
Port Erin Commissioner says he was 'humbled' to officially receive his BEM
Gerry Callister was presented with the medal earlier this month
Conservation 'an important part of Biosphere project'
Exhibition marking 10 years of status now open
