Range of views expressed at public meeting
A range of views were aired by Douglas residents attending a packed public meeting to discuss recent changes to bin collections.
An increase in rodent activity and the 'arrogant' attitude of Douglas Council were among the issues raised by those unhappy with the new system
Residents of the Island's capital put questions to Councillors Claire Wells and Falk Horning about the move from weekly to fortnightly collections at the Manx Legion last night.
The meeting was called after some encountered issues with full bins after the change came into force in September.
A vote by show of hands at the end of the meeting showed the majority of those at the event were in favour of a return to weekly collections, but Councillor Wells insists that's not being considered.
