The annual festivites start at 2pm on the capital's promenade
There's something for everyone in the capital today as Douglas Carnival takes to the promenade.
Entertainment kicks off at 2pm with SoundCheck at the Bottleneck car park where Bushy's Beer Garden will be open for the day.
By the evening the prom will be turned into a rainbow of colours to raise money for a local charity.
Hospice Isle of Man's annual Colour Me Rainbow will see hundreds of people walk or run the length of the prom whilst being covered in paint.
Event coordinator Terry Cook says it makes a huge difference:
You can also experience wheelie bin racing and live music in the bottleneck car park from 8pm.
The Official Post Carnival 'Movie Madness' concert at the Villa Marina also starts at 8pm, with performances from the Manx Youth Band and Manx Concert Brass.
