One bin per household rule will be introduced
Douglas Borough Council will only collect one wheelie bin per property from this autumn.
Those with second bins will not be entitled to a double collection and, going forward, those requesting a second receptacle will be assessed on an individual basis.
Councillor Falk Horning announced the reduction at this month's sitting where he explained the purpose of this new approach:
