Council Leader says proposals will impact everyone
Douglas Council says it hasn’t been formally consulted over new proposals which look at restricting overnight parking for large vehicles.
The Department of Infrastructure has sent a letter to local authorities across the Island proposing restrictions on vehicles that are over 1.87 meters high or 5.5 metres long.
Thousands of people have already signed a petition calling for the idea to be scrapped.
Council Leader Claire Wells says she believes it would have a ‘pretty serious impact’ on the city if the plans came to fruition.
