Authority 'taking claims seriously'
Douglas Borough Council says it is to investigate claims made on social media of 'institutional corruption'.
They included allegations of improper conduct relating to planning and property, showing screenshots of messages claiming to be from an officer of the local authority to a prospective property buyer.
The council has told Manx Radio that 'such allegations are taken seriously and as is usual practise, are investigated in accordance with internal process and procedures.'
