Four were found in the local authority's collection rounds today
Douglas Council is urging residents not to put knives in the kerbside recycling boxes.
Four knives were found on the local authority's rounds today and it says residents should be taking them to the civic amenity site and disposed into the metal skip.
The council says the items are a danger to its staff and also members of the public and this is the second time this month the items have been found.
It added knives can also be put into the household waste bin.
