Due to 'operational issue' at the Energy from Waste Facility today
Douglas City Council is warning that households whose refuse is due for collection tomorrow (Tuesday 15 July) may face delays.
It's as there's been an 'operational issue' at the Energy from Waste Facility (EFW) today (Monday 14 July).
The plant operator, Suez, is 'currently working to resolve' the issue; however, it has meant that no vehicles are permitted access to tip at present.
The Council says once the matter is resolved, its refuse vehicles will need to tip the waste collected today, before they can commence Tuesday’s collection, so 'delays are possible'.
