Array of awards from 'Keep Britain Tidy'
Douglas has caught the eye of Keep Britain Tidy.
The environmental charity is so impressed with the cleanliness of the island's capital, it's awarded it eight green flags this year.
Council leader David Christian says this achievement is a solid example of how much the council is supporting 'The Year of Our Island' - of which a key objective is to portray Douglas as a desirable place to live, work and visit.
The flags were awarded to:
- Derby Square
- Douglas Borough Cemetery
- Douglas Golf Course
- Douglas Head
- Hutchinson Square
- Marine Gardens
- Noble's Park
- Summerhill Glen
