Ballakermeen hopes to also get planning approval to operate them during MGP
There are hopes the school field at a Douglas high school could be used as a campsite for TT again from this year, as well as during Manx Grand Prix.
A planning application's been submitted by the Department of Education, Sport and Culture to allow 150 bell tents at Ballakermeen during the motorcycle festivals.
If approved, they'll be operated by Nine Yards Bell Tents and the school's toilet and shower facilities will be made available to guests.
In its submission, the school says it's successfully gained planning permission for the past 10 years for the tents, and the only difference is the addition of the Manx Grand Prix dates.
