Douglas lifeboat was called out last night (Fri) to go to the aid of a small vessel with reported engine trouble.
The call out came at 6.22pm as the vessel, which was en-route from Widnes to Douglas, was around 2 miles east of Douglas.
However, the all-weather lifeboat Sir William Hillary found the vessel making its way under its own power and escorted it back to Douglas harbour where it remained on standby until it was securely berthed at the visitor's pontoon at the Battery Pier.
