Coastguard search coastline - but nothing found
Douglas lifeboat was launched yesterday evening (Sun 10th) to help coastguards search for a person believed to be in trouble off the Marine Drive.
The call-out came just after 5pm when a member of the public reported what they thought was someone calling for help on the cliffs in the Keristal area of Marine Drive.
The Sir William Hillary conducted a shoreline search from Little Ness to Keristal while coastguards conducted a search from land.
However, nothing was found and the lifeboat was returned to station later in the evening.
