36-year-old yet to enter plea
A court’s heard a Douglas man punched his girlfriend and stamped on her head in an attack at her friend’s home.
Thirty-six-year-old Paul Allan Bollon of Heather Crescent appeared before Deputy High Bailiff James Brooks through a live video link from the Isle of Man Prison.
He’s accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm at an address in Hillside Avenue on 15 January, but hasn’t yet entered a plea.
Prosecution advocate Hazel Carroon told the hearing Mr Bollon had been at home when he and his partner got into an argument.
His girlfriend cut her hand as she took a knife off him, and when he became abusive she left to see a friend.
The court heard he'd followed her to her friend's house, where he slapped her, punched her and stamped on her head and body.
She later told police she thought she was going to die during the incident.
A bail application was denied, and Mr Bollon was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on 22 February.
