22-year-old will be sentenced in higher court
A Douglas man who had a kilogramme of cannabis sent to the Island has been committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery for sentencing.
Twenty-year-old Joshua Stanley Corrin, of Westbourne Drive pleaded guilty to being unlawfully concerned in the production of the drug on 9 August last year.
A postman had tried to deliver a parcel to woman, at an address on Cushag Road in Douglas, but she refused to take it.
Post Office staff called police after their suspicions were raised - inside the parcel were four packages of drugs.
In a separate police investigation Corrin's mobile phone was inspected by officers who found messages about the parcel and drugs.
He was arrested but refused to answer questions during interview. Bail was granted and he'll appear in court again on 8 July.
