Case adjourned to November
A Douglas man has pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of benefit fraud, totaling almost £70,000.
Sixty-three-year-old Robert Graham Moffitt, of Hillside Avenue, denied the charges when he appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse yesterday.
The prosecution alleges Mr Moffitt failed to declare an Irish pension his wife receives when he was applying for benefits between April 2012 and October 2017.
He has been bailed until 13 November, when the case will be committed to the Court of General Gaol.
