23-year-old bailed
A Douglas man’s denied trying to have more than £2,000 worth of cannabis sent to him through the post.
Twenty-three-year-old Vincent Sims, of Clarence Terrace, appeared at Douglas Courthouse where he denied being concerned in unlawfully in producing the drug.
He also denied attempting to possess it with intent to supply on 21 April.
Post office staff reportedly alerted police after finding a suspicious package.
When the parcel was opened officers discovered it contained two packages of cannabis weighing around 112 grammes.
The parcel was reportedly addressed to Mr Sims who’d rung the post office to ask about a parcel he was expecting.
Officers arrested him when he went to the sorting office in Braddan to pick it up.
He was bailed to next appear in court on 21 July.
