A man who broke into a car dealership in Onchan took electronic items worth hundreds of pounds, a court’s heard.
Forty-five-year-old Michael Daniel Bergquist of Belgravia Road in Onchan appeared via video link before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes.
He admitted one count each of burglary and attempted burglary.
Prosecution advocate Chrissie Hunt told the hearing Bergquist tried to break into the iQ Apple reseller shop on Prospect Hill in Douglas on 6 December last year.
Bergquist had moved a table and used a fire extinguisher to smash a hole in the wall of the shop, but failed to get inside.
Around three weeks later, between 23 and 27 December he stole from car dealership AutoMann on Elm Tree Road in Onchan.
The hearing was told he took four iPads, an iPhone and a laptop during the break-in.
Bergquist was remanded in custody, and is next due to appear in court on 27 April.
