Lost temper during illegal eviction
A court’s heard a man being illegally evicted by his landlord responded by threatening to attack his car.
Thirty-two-year-old Mark Anthony Lucas of Close Kennish in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes.
The hearing at Douglas Courthouse was told he returned home on 30 August to find his landlord changing the locks and packing his belongings.
Lucas’s advocate told the court his client had lost his temper after being provoked and he deeply regretted his actions.
He was bound over to keep the peace for 12 months in the sum of £500, and a charge of threatening to cause criminal damage was withdrawn.
