Infrastructure minister expands on delays to refurb work
Douglas promenade won't be complete until 'sometime towards June' according to the infrastructure minister.
The refurbishment scheme was due to be wrapped up by the end of March 2021.
Due to further delays however, Tim Baker says the work is now likely to go on until the middle of next year's summer season.
Speaking live on the Mannin Line this afternoon, Mr Baker says there's still some way to go:
Meanwhile, the junction at Broadway is still on schedule to reopen this Thursday (26 Nov) the infrastructure minister confirmed.
As far as being on budget, Mr Baker says the work is 'within' the cost accounted for when the project was granted a further £750,000 in the Treasury Minister's budget update in June.
