Late night festive shopping period gets underway this evening
The walkway on Douglas Promenade will open for parking today (21 November) ahead of the late-night Christmas shopping period getting underway.
Motorists will be able to use the stretch between the War Memorial and Bottleneck Car Park until 8 January 2025.
Parking disks must be displayed with parking permitted for up to two hours with no return within another four hours.
There will be designated disabled spaces included with parking permitted for up to four hours.
The entrance to the parking area will be opposite the roundel at Church Road Marina and the exit near the Bottleneck Car Park.
A maximum speed limit of 10mph will be force throughout.
