Polling stations open until 8pm
Four candidates will bid for the vacant seat on Douglas Council today (Thursday).
Retired woman Helen Callow, civil servant Richard Halsall, company director Charlton Krentz and taxi driver Derek Lavery will contest a by-election in St. George's Ward.
The vacancy arose after former councillor Cat Turner had to step down.
Polling stations, at All Saints’ Church Hall in Alexander Drive for the Ballabrooie and Eastfield districts, and the scout hall in Demesne Road for the St George’s district, are open from 8am until eight o’clock this evening.
