Popular event hits the capital's streets
Daredevil drivers and their home-made machines will once again be taking to the streets of the Island's capital this evening
The 2019 Microgaming-sponsored Douglas Soapbox Race takes place on a course which starts at Upper Church Street's junction with Circular Road and finishes outside the Outback.
The event is on between 6pm and 10pm, and does have an impact on the surrounding area.
Church Street is shut between 1pm and 10pm, while Upper Church Street and parts of its adjoining streets are closed between 3.30pm and 10pm.
