Sarah Maltby given delegation within DESC
A Douglas South MHK is being given the reins to oversee arts and culture on the Isle of Man.
Sarah Maltby was announced as a new political member for the Department of Education, Sport and Culture earlier this month.
It's now been revealed she’ll chair the Isle of Man Arts Council and be in charge of the Villa Gaiety.
Mrs Maltby has more than 14-years' experience in the education sector and says she’s ‘delighted’ to be 'returning to her roots'.
She joins Legislative Council member Paul Craine who will continue his work on special projects but now with a focus on climate emissions.
Minister Daphne Caine says she hopes her appointment will bring a ‘fresh perspective’ to the role.
