Chief Minister says government must understand what happened
It's 'absolutely vital' government understands what happened during the Dr Rosalind Ranson tribunal and takes action.
That's from Chief Minister Alfred Cannan after Tynwald approved an independent review into government's handling of the case.
The former medical director has been awarded £3.2m by a tribunal after she was unfairly dismissed for whistleblowing.
A retired high court judge or King's Counsel will be appointed to take charge of the investigation, with a three-member select committee overseeing the review.
