Publishing data an issue
An MHK says draft legislation proposing safe zones surrounding places where abortion services are to be provided wasn't fit for purpose.
Yesterday, (13 Mar) the House of Keys sat as a committee to debate the introduction of the zones, designed to protect against harassment.
Under the proposed laws, a list of all these protected areas, which included hospital buildings and the homes of medical professionals providing the service, would be made public.
Onchan member Rob Callister agrees zones should be established to offer safe access to those using abortion services, but says publishing data about them would be an issue.
