37-year-old hadn't turned her headlights on
A Douglas woman will be sentenced next month after being caught drink driving in the early hours of the morning.
Clodagh Hansen, of Douglas Avenue, was stopped by police at 3.41am on the 10 August.
The 37-year-old was driving along Peel Road, near Quarterbridge Roundabout, with no headlights on - officers who stopped her noted she was nervous, her speech was slurred and she smelt of intoxicants.
She told them she’d drank alcohol but didn’t know how much and was on her way to the 24-hour garage.
After failing a roadside breath test she was arrested and taken to Police Headquarters – in the court the reading she gave was described as ‘very high’.
A social enquiry report has been requested before Hansen is sentenced on 18 October – she’s been bailed until that date.
