High Bailiff describes reading as 'very high'
A Douglas woman will be sentenced next month after crashing her car into a ditch whilst drunk.
Hannah Clare Lewis, of Eairy Veg, was almost four times the legal limit when she lost control of her vehicle on the Mountain Road.
Police found her, in her Skoda, near Windy Corner just before 10pm on 25 March; she was in a ‘state of confusion’ and they could smell intoxicants.
The 42-year-old admitted drink driving during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse with her advocate telling the court: "My client’s actions are a reflection of difficult personal circumstances."
A social enquiry report has been requested before Lewis is sentenced on 23 May; she’s been bailed until that date.
