A woman was taken to Noble's hospital for a check-up, following a one-vehicle crash on the Phildraw Road in Ballasalla this morning.
She did not suffer serious injuries, though.
The fire service says the car hit a hedge and was badly damaged, leaving her trapped inside and with a sore neck and back.
The road was closed for just over two hours, while the emergency services dealt with the incident.
Fire officers cut the roof off the car, a silver Mini, to help get the woman out of the vehicle.
She was treated at the scene, before being taken to hospital.
