Large TREC IOM training event
Drivers are asked to take care around St John's today (21 April) as there'll be more horses on the road than normal.
TREC IOM is holding a training event in and around the village from 1.30pm to 4pm.
It'll effect most of St John's, including Tynwald Mills, the Switchback Road and the Poortown Road.
In total there are set to be 20 horses and riders travelling in small groups - and people are asked to take extra care.
Official advice from TREC IOM has been provided as follows:
1. Slow down to a maximum of 15mph.
2. Be patient, don't sound the horn or rev the engine
3. Pass the horse wide and slow, (when safe to do so) at least a car's width if possible
4. Drive slowly away without revving.
