Isle of Man CAA reminding people of rules
People who operate drones on the Island are being reminded that their use is restricted.
The Isle of Man Civil Aviation Administration says a drone which was spotted being flown over Douglas Carnival, on Saturday, is the ‘cause of some concern’.
It’s highlighted its proximity to large groups of people, and nearby structures, on Loch Promenade as an issue.
Anyone using a drone is asked to ensure they are flying them safely and not endangering people, property or other aircraft.
Anyone contravening the regulations may be liable to a fine of up to £10,000 or up to five years in prison.
