34 per cent fall as people told to avoid Noble's where possible
There was a drop in the number of people attending the emergency department at Noble's Hospital last week due to respiratory illnesses.
Admissions at the start of January were at the highest levels seen for the past five years.
Last week's 34 per cent fall, however, coincides with a call from Manx Care for people to avoid A&E if possible - due to 'extreme pressures' on the site.
The figures come from government's weekly surveillance report into winter illnesses.
