Reduction possible next summer
Manx Gas says it hopes to reduce gas bills for Island customers from next summer.
The company has signaled a drop from June 2016, subject to normal winter weather and no major hike in international gas prices.
The move is also partly due to a rise in standing charges for central heating customers from next January - which will better reflect the cost of supplying gas.
Until now, part of that cost has been included in gas tariffs.
Managing director of Manx Gas Tony Nicholls says he's optimistic the company can lower its prices:
