After a number of cancellations over the last few days, the Steam Packet says its sailings will run as normal today, with one exception.
This evening's sailing to Dublin has been cancelled, with the Ben-my-Chree making an extra return trip to Heysham to move freight.
The Packet says Dublin passengers will be transferred to the Heysham sailing and will be given onward connections, at Steam Packet expense.
All passengers will be transferred unless they opt for other arrangements.
The Packet is trying to arrange a charter aircraft for foot passengers from the cancelled Dublin sailing, subject to availability.
Passengers affected are asked to call 01624 661661.
Packet Chief Executive Mark Woodward is apologising for the disruption to people's travel plans, but he says the company looked at all other options before choosing this one.
He believes it is the best compromise available to ensure people get to where they need to be and that gifts, food and other essentials are delivered in time for Christmas.
