Ian Lougher clinches second over Adam McClean
After a long day of waiting, Michael Dunlop has taken the top podium spot in the 2025 Lightweight Classic TT race.
He led the way from beginning to end, getting himself a fastest lap time of 115.285mph:
Adam McClean kept applying the pressure to catch Dunlop, managing to close the gap multiple times during the two laps until disaster struck towards the final stretch.
After suffering a technical difficulty, McClean dropped down into third and Ian Lougher sped up into second with a fastest lap of 113.113mph.
All eyes were on the finish line to see if McClean could cling onto third or if he'd be thwarted by Dan Sayle who had been upping the pace.
McClean (fastest lap time: 111.751mph) did enough early on though, he managed to cling onto the third podium spot by half a second over Sayle:
Ian Lougher took second but it wasn't easy:
There were two incidents at Brandywell where both Mike Browne and Alan Oversby came off at separate times.
Both were reported as conscious and talking but Oversby was taken to Noble's by Airmed.
