UK expert offering advice for parents
If you're the parent of a child with dyslexia, and have queries and concerns, help and advice is at hand this week.
Dr Jennie Guise is an Edinburgh-based specialist in the condition who is on the Island until Thursday.
Ten-minute slots at drop-in sessions for parents are available at the Henry Bloom Noble Library on Wednesday, between 6pm and 8pm.
Ahead of the sessions, and the rest of her trip, Dr Guise has been speaking to Manx Radio about her recent work, and what's going on in dyslexia research at the moment.
She says what's being discovered more and more is the amount of overlap there is between different learning difficulties: (play audio)
Booking a slot in advance is advised, which can be done via eventbrite
