Motor-boosted bikes to help controllers reach outskirts of town
Traffic wardens in Douglas have started using electric bicycles to cover their routes.
It's hoped the bikes will help reduce congestion while still allowing the parking controllers to reach the outskirts of the town.
E-bikes use a small motor to boost the power created by pedalling, allowing the cyclist to ride faster and cover greater distances.
The bikes have been introduced as part of the government's active travel strategy.
