
A major failure of the government's IT system was discussed in a committee meeting this afternoon (Thurs).
The Economic Committee heard how, on November 11th, failures in the central government system caused a complete outage in 57 areas.
The Department of Social Care was highlighted as a department that was seriously affected with members unable to access appointment schedules.
Blood test results were also halted, resulting in patients waiting five days for their results.
