A teacher who is contesting the Castletown seat in next month's general election believes his training in economics would stand him in good stead, should he top the poll.
Jason Moorhouse has taught economics, business and geography at Castle Rushen High School for the past 16 years.
He lives in Onchan but he says his knowledge of Castletown makes it the natural place for him to stand.
He says he received a very good training in economics (listen to audio file below):
There are now five candidates in Castletown, the others being David Pownall, and local commissioners Colin Leather, Carol Quine, and Richard Ronan.
