Onchan MHK calls for all parties to 'come together' to prioritise healthcare workers
An Onchan MHK has described Manx Care as ‘broken’ and at risk of ‘collapse entirely’ without doctors.
Julie Edge says the health body is not working for the Island and industrial action, planned for next week, highlights the ‘critical need’ to value and support the medical professionals.
Doctors will walk out for two-days next week as part of an ongoing row over pay.

Ms Edge has urged all parties to ‘come together’ and prioritise the healthcare workers saying the situation must be resolved ‘for the good of everyone on our Island’.
Manx Care says most non-urgent services will be paused whilst doctors strike on 22 and 23 January.
The health body adds it wants to reassure the community that ‘operational planning’ is underway to minimise the impact on patients and service users.
