Treasury minister believes there should be more emphasis on what children eat
The treasury minister says educating parents as well as children is key to tackling obesity.
Alex Allinson's comments came in response to a question from Isle of Man Green Party Secretary Andrew Langan-Newton.
Mr Langan-Newton is calling for more to be done to tackle obesity and diabetes rates, particularly among children, in a bid to reduce the spending pressure on the health service.
Dr Allinson, who's also a GP, believes the focus should be on diet rather than medication:
