Independent review into DESC discussed in Tynwald
The education minister has apologised to 'the young people and parents of our Island' after a damning independent review of the department.
Dr Alex Allinson made a statement in Tynwald looking to a positive future, with an education service 'we can all be proud of'.
It follows the publication of the Beaman's report, described by the minister and others as 'not an easy read'.
He also made a commitment to present a 'detailed implementation action plan' by January's Tynwald sitting.
The motion was unanimously voted through.
